The Apprentice.

I first met Tony back in September 1978 on our first day at L’oreal. I was a very nervous 17yr old apprentice on his first day of work and Tony had just returned from The United States and had been employed as a toolmaker in the Development Workshop. I will always remember the first time Tony spoke to me with this American accent and I thought it was Dustin Hoffman’s better looking younger brother. But this guy with an American accent had a great gift; he had the ability of talking to you and putting you at ease and getting the best out of you. This was the start of our 34 yr. friendship and lots of great conversations. Tony was my Mentor and I his Apprentice and I can honestly say I have never known such a skilled Craftsman and Toolmaker, that with his knowledge, patience and skills could put his hands to make anything. I feel privileged to have had such a great teacher and for that I will always be thankful. We have had some great times and I have some great memories, Thank You Tony Strength and Honour my friend.
